
Our proposal
The draft illustrative masterplan is for a high-quality development in a sustainable location. If approved, it will provide much-needed new homes and investment for the local area.
The draft illustrative masterplan includes:

Approximately 320 new homes

A range of house-types sizes and tenures, including 32 (10%) affordable housing, providing opportunities for lower income households to own their own home
or to secure rented accommodation -
Vehicle access via Low Moor Road

A large area of public open space for residents to enjoy, including children’s play areas

Potential allotments or a community garden / orchard

Retained and enhanced hedgerows, tree planting, and landscaping, which together with the public open space will help to improve the variety of wildlife and plants on site

A network of clear paths around the development as well as safe and improved pedestrian and cycle links with the surrounding area

Landscape buffer planting to screen the industrial development located to the south
